My Lovely Sunshine
The stars fill the luminescent night,
The grass sways gently across the field,
The moon shines its calming light,
The flowers quietly wait concealed,
A gentle beam of light flows through,
Caressing the dark and silent grove,
Casting your radiance with a fluorescent view,
Which once hid in horizons cove,
The stars and moon now ephemeral,
Sundering the sky with your beaming smile,
The view now seen, somewhat surreal,
The sky is filled with love for miles,
Flowers rise to your sweet touch,
Smiling back at you with their colorful eyes,
The birds sing to your beauty in such,
The scenario seems almost a lie,
But
Simple
Simplicity lurks in the shadows unreached,
I throw myself at it and find myself leashed,
To the lie formed by our doomed race,
That simplicity is impossible and is lost in empty space,
I pull till I bleed, I pull until I die,
Yet still I find myself lost in this lie,
There is no turning back, time takes its toll,
Frozen in its vice, ripping through my soul,
Lost in the damned plane of existence,
Of complexity and malevolence,
Shall I ever become free of this turmoil,
Or forever am I lost in simplicities foil...
Isolation
Solitude may sometimes reign,
Because all effort was in vain,
So I stand here, lost in life,
Constantly fighting, constant strife,
I have pushed till my hands bleed red,
I have forfeited the life I led,
Start anew I must, and find my sanity,
Because the longer I stay, the longer the vanity,
All things must come asunder,
Everything I own, once again aplunder,
So now I shall fortify my soul and mind,
To pay my dues to the devil in kind,
And break free of my desolation,
To release myself from isolation...
Hidden Sanity
Cast aside your mask and show me your face,
You can't hide from me any longer, you must stand your place,
Burn the veil and shred the barrier,
Show me how to make my life merrier,
I'm sick of all the running and hiding,
I'm sick of all the emptiness and lying,
Reveal to me the truth and show me the reality,
Make me whole once again and give me back my sanity.
Alone no Longer
You cast your eyes upon the stars, a solitary soldier,
You have fought this endlessly as if it was forever,
But alas! Look beside you and see my calming shadow,
Cast from the opal gleam of the moon, forever so mellow,
I stand by you through the darkness in a shroud of white,
Remain here I shall to be your source of light,
Like equilibrium, we stand together in perfect balance,
Even through the obstructing malevolence,
We shall stand together inseparable, as an army of one,
And fight to the bitter end with nowhere to run,
So if ever you feel alone, just cast your eyes upon the moon,
Let its glow fill the room and I
Everlasting Smile
She smiles at me, those eyes don't lie,
They shine so brightly, like the starry night sky,
These eyes see everything, somewhat surreal,
Even through pain, her smile is still real,
Her smile she leaves, within my eyes,
Those eyes that smile, those eyes give rise,
To tranquility through life, to tranquility through demise,
But even to this day, those eyes still shine,
And I carry this gift, this love, this shrine.
